內容：
Jake (John Malkovich) and his girlfriend Tina ( Andie MacDowell) are loving the good life on bad credit. With handsome good look, fine taste, first - class travel and seemingly limitless financial resources, Jake and Tina have it all.
Yet all is not as it seems. Currently staying in a smart London hotel, Jack's string of financial luck and personal credit has run out. A wildly speculative cocoa deal is reined by a dock strike in Sierra Leone and Jake's highly leveraged world comes crashing down. Jack is desperate. Although Tina has no money either, she does possess the object of beauty itself, a small head sculpted by Henry Moon; a work of art worth at least the amount Jake needs to get himself out of trouble. To Jake, the statue represents financial salvation, while to Tina it remains one link with her ex-husband (Peter Reigert) as well as her independence. To Jenny (Rudi Davies), their deaf chambermaid, it simply represents beauty.
When the statue mysteriouly disappears, a series of comic events takes that turns their world upside - down and allows Jake and Tina to see themselves and their relationship in a completely new light.
