Annunziata, recently beraft of her husband, summons her brother, antorisllo, to live with her in sicily so that she and her step-daughter, Elena, are not left alone in the large house without the reassuring presence of a man.
Elena tries to seduce antonello who attempts to gnore her for fear of being thrown out of the house without a penny.
Antonello, therefore, arranges the girl's marriage with Saverio, but instead of soiving the problem antonello realises that he is very much in love with elena and he becomes very Jeaous. He tries to comfort himself by getting married, but it is impossible, Elena is all he wants; and she teels the same about him too.
After numerous attempts they eventrally succeed in meeting to make love. They hear gunshots and cling to one another believing themselves about to be shot to death by her jealous busband. The shorts evidently ware not for them and they draw a sigh of telist while looking forward to many, many more encounters...
