Tibet is often associated with the scent of burning incenses and ever-lit butter lanterns in monasteries. The monasteries of Tibetan sect of Buddhism best represent the traditional Tibetan architectural style. This film demonstrates the unique artistic charm of these monasteries in terms of architecture, paintings and carvings. It also gives accounts of the lives of the lamas and ritual ceremonies staged in the monasteries. The film lifts the veil up from the mysterious Tibetan Buddhist temples and helps viewers to know the history of Tibetan Buddhism and how it is faring today.
