Adapted from a Chinese folk story, this fabulous TV series tells the legendary life of Meng Lijun (Played by famous Mainland actress Li Bingbing), a beautiful and clever girl born to a well-to-do family. She falls in love with the talented young man Shaohua and marries him. But their happy life is soon torn apart by Liu, an envious and corrupt official who forced Shaohua into exile. Vowing to end the corruption, Lijun disguises as a man and later becomes a court official as she set on reuniting with her husband.
