The play tells the story of Fang Zhimin, the founder of the red ten army, who devoted his whole life to the cause of Chinese people's liberation.
In 1927, the Guomin party betrayed the revolution. A large number of the army of the Guomin party and the landlord's armed forces killed the gongchand people and the progressives. China was enveloped in white terror. Fang Zhimin (Lin Jiangguo) witnessed the people being exploited, crushed and slaughtered, realized the necessity of armed struggle, and launched a peasant riot in Hengfeng, Yiyang. After persevering struggle, Fang Zhimin developed from two and a half guns into a red ten army of tens of thousands of people, forming the Northeast Jiangxi Soviet Area with tens of counties and millions of basic people, and growing stronger in the four encirclement and suppression campaigns of the enemy. However, the interference of Wang Ming's left leaning line resulted in the failure of the fifth counter campaign. In order to protect the Central Red Army from going north to resist Japan, Fang Zhimin, knowing that there is a great disparity in strength, still formed an anti Japanese advance team, which attracted hundreds of thousands of enemy troops to the core area under the rule of the Gongmin party and was captured unfortunately. In the enemy's prison, Fang Zhimin wrote a series of important manuscripts, such as "lovely China", which annotated and practiced the great and deep love of a gongchan Party member for Zuguo's mother.
