Nurse Jackie Ivers (Yasmine Bleeth) returns to the small town where she grew up to care for the alcoholic, abusive father she and her mother left years before. Steve Ivers (Stanley Anderson) is dying, and Jackie soon loves hope that she might make some kind of peace with him. But then something extaordinary happens. Steve makes a complete recovery and reaches out to his daughter, tying to make amends for his past misdeeds. Ordinarily, Jackie would be delighted, but her father isn't the only person to undergo a personality switch. Some mysterious force is at work which is drastically changing the townspeople.
